Winter Scenes is an opportunity for students to write, costume, design sets, design lighting, and direct their peers in short plays performed in the intimate setting of the Black Box Theater. Any and all genres of theater performance are welcome to be submitted for consideration for each season. The whole process is entirely student lead and is a great opportunity as a student director to have the ultimate culminating experience of producing your own show! Because the casts are small, it is also an opportunity for students to participate in all aspects of theater and to forge lifelong friendships with their castmates. If there are any questions about Winter Scenes and how to apply to be a director, please contact Ben Lundy (benaiah_lundy@ipsd.org) or Tiffany Gervasio (tiffany_gervasio@ipsd.org) with any questions!

The Winter Scenes at Metea Valley High School were started as a way for students to experience firsthand the challenges and rewards of directing and producing small scenes or one-act plays, as well as the skill of producing a show in an intimate setting, all while working with small groups of like-minded and driven individuals.

Shows are February 13th, 14th, and 15th at 7 PM, and a matinee on the 15th at 2PM in the Metea Valley Theater Black Box.

General Admission is $10, Students/Seniors is $5! Seating is limited and is a first come, first serve basis. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before showtime. See you then!
